Default 01cummins. ac issues

My dads truck ac works great for about 15mins then turns hot. Shut it off for 10. Works for another 15mins. Its like its freezing up. But. What would cause it thanks a lot guys

Have you checked the freon levels? I had the same issue at the house for the AC turned out the ever so wonderful family members I had put in the unit and charged by the pound for freon put to much pressure and had to bleed it off. If its not the freon levels I would check compressor.

We have been debating changing the pump. We changed a line cause someone had told us there was an orphase that could be plugged. And it does the same as before. The freon is correct level.

Your evaporator could be icing up due to insufficient air flow... Just a thought

It would be under the dash I believe. Could have some trash blocking it.

No the evaporator is in front of the heater core enclosed in a plastic housing. Normally if it ices up you'll notice less airflow through the vents and warm air. You could check the evap. housing drain it's in the engine compartment on the passenger side down on the fire wall. Also running the fan on high and the temp a little higher and see if that helps
