Resetting odometer in 2000 cummins
OK guys, I'm restoring a 63 power wagon crew cab. I'm going to go look at a 2000 Cummins I may buy to use the frame, drivetrain, and instrument cluster in my 63. The truck has 200k miles. I'm going to go through the motor and tranny if I buy it. I never plan on selling the truck, its going to be a frame off restoration to better than new. I want to be able to reset the odometer so I can see the miles I've put on it. If I ever were to sell it I would explain the miles to anyone, should be unnecessary because obviously the miles wouldn't be original. This is a touchy subject I know, I wanted to explain so y'all would know I wasn't trying to find out so I could defraud anyone. I could always buy an aftermarket digital cluster that would start at 0 miles but I think incorporating the dodge cluster would be cool. Anyway, does anyone know if its possible?

You can do it but need to be careful, if you touch one of the rollers, ink
will smear. Look in back of plate, you should be able to see roller assembly.
There are metal spacers between each number. take a pin and something
small to push spacer away from number, just enough to take pin and turn
number. You will need to do one at a time. they only turn one way, toward
12 oclock.
