I'm just gonna do a cheap cai by taking the top of the air box off, disconnecting the flex pipe from it and connect it to the cone filter. Leaving the bottom to act as barrier from dust kicking up underneath it.

I wouldn't. Here's what I did. Make your own heat shield with the template below. Get a filter with a metal end so you can make a little bracket to hold the filter in place and up so it doesn't rub, or use a filter like the one shown.

The powersteering leak may be the seal between the power steering pump and vacuum pump. Im told it is pretty common and one worth getting fixed. Just dont use the $10 seal kit from cummins its a waste of time and money. that will also make your brakes not so spongy if they are. I just had to deal with this problem.

 

If it were the seal between the PS pump and the vacum pump it would be leaking motor oil not ps fluid

 

I found the Psf leak but it's on the right side of the front axle, looks to be the seal.. Is that the pump? And found I do have an oil leak on the right side of the motor, don't know where yet.
