Default 01 6 speed manual clutch

Need to replace clutch. Recreational towing heavy loads. Any suggestions on good heavy duty clutch? No big mods on truck 4" magnaflow exhaust, S&B cold air, injectors are in future.

Can't go wrong with a southbend clutch. I've always used them to replace OEM. A single disc should be fine as long you don't go and build the truck up with more power.

I second the Southbend clutch. They are a little stiffer but are better for higher torque.

Ok. I am going to upgrade injectors and maybe edge ez in near future. Looking at clutches I see lots that increase to 13. Any thoughts or input?

The one I installed in my truck is a organic maferial . rated for 400 horse and 800 torque. The same one went in my dads truck. I don't recall if mine is the 13" or not. Its been a while. But just a single disc clutch should be fine for hauling.

I just ordered the South Bend 13" organic that's rated for I believe 500 hp. My mechanic said it's the one I should use because I have the Edge Juice and with RV275 injectors that are to come later, the 400 hp 12" model may not be up to the task. Make sure you buy a little more clutch than you need.

I would go with a dual disc with that much power.

Should only be 400 hp or so right?

Think I'll go dual disk 13. 500 hp rated. Allready have fass 150. Don't have that hp but always changing mind. Had a 6L VVT 400 hp put in jet boat, 30 hrs later put on 6.2LSA 585 hp. Change my mind like a women on Motörhead stuff! Go big!

South bend clutch, pressure plate and flywheel combo. I have a single organic towing disc and it has been great. Little long on the break in but its been great. Buy the combo though. Don't just refinish the flywheel and replace the clutch and PP.
