Default Overheated brake question

Okay guys need a little help. On Friday morning I replaced my front brake pads, then left to go camping. About 30 minutes into the trip my brakes started smelling and when I came to a complete stop they were smoking. So naturally I pulled over and let them cool. I then figured it was a stuck caliper and replaced it at the nearby part store. All was well but I noticed when I make hard stops it starts smelling again and makes a screeching/droning noise when coming to a full stop.

Do you think I "glazed" my pads? I'd hate to have to replace my 3 day old pads but let me know what you guys think.

Thanks
