Default Electronics Going Crazy

Alright, so I just put a "new" motor in to my 02 2500 ram. They were both the 5.9 24v cummins, the only difference was the "new" motor came from a 99 and had the 5 speed whereas mine has a 6 speed. Now after getting everything put back together and getting it running the electrical side is going crazy. The temp gauge just tops out all the time, the tac flickers between off and on and the tps cuts in and out. After driving awhile and the truck warms up the tach will just stop working and then the throttle will work fine and the truck drives great. When I checked the codes in the morning I was getting p0606, ecm/pcm problem, as well as a low reading code for the TPS, temp, cam sensor, and intake pressure. After the truck drives for awhile and I clear the codes the only thing that pops back up is the TPS and camshaft sensor. I'm hopping it may just be a ground or short somewhere in the wires, or possibly flashing the ecm/pcm will fix it and that I don't have to replace it all together. Anyone else have any ideas?

So just a little update, I had a new TPS in there and now I switched it back out with the old one. With the old one in there the tach hasn't stopped working but the TPS barely works, it'll cut randomly and even when it seems to be working it is messed up. When you push on the petal just a little bit it revs quite a bit and doesn't really increase as you push more. Also the cruise flickers on and off as well as sometimes just turns on and accelerates the truck until I turn the cruise off.

Did you switch ecms when you did the swap?

Im still using the ecm off the 02 motor. Been doing some research and I realize now that the 02 didn't have the crankshaft sensor, it just uses the camshaft sensor. Is there a difference between the camshaft setup between the two motors?

Default Update

Just figured I'd throw in an update in case anyone stumbles across this, I ended up biting the bullet and buying a refurbed ECM for $900. After I swapped that in all of the problems went away, expect the tach not working because of the motor swap, hope this might help someone else.
