Default Stopping in to say hi and update

Took the truck into a transmission shop and had them hook it up to their diagnostic machine. They came back with a governor pressure solenoid and a governor pressure sensor. Quoted me about $750 out the door. Needless to say I went and picked up the truck. Ordered up the parts(just over $100) and had them swapped out in a couple hours time. Been working great since then.

Over the last few weeks the truck sprung a fuel leak. Took a minute to find it but I finally tracked it down to the fuel heater wires on top of the filter housing. Fixed that today and all appears good. Now on to some of the stuff I want to upgrade on the truck.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Fuel pressure gauge is the only one on the truck still and all is looking good. I'm thinking the trans gauge is next in line. Getting a little bored with looking at two empty holes in the gauge pod. Lol

You have a good Christmas?

Yes it was a weird one tho it was 75 degrees Christmas day.

I would do an egt gauge or boost gauge next.

Lol. I could've used a whole bunch of truck stuff from Santa.

Why did you recommend an egt or boost gauge next?

That's the usual Trio that everyone uses to monitor the most important things on the engine.
It is also a good tool to use when your having engine problems like boost dropping off or exhaust temps getting high.
These are very important if your dragging a trailer and working the engine hard.

Ok. I might have to reconsider what gauges I was planning on purchasing then. So, considering upgrading the downpipe on the truck to a 4" as the next fun repair, followed by an airbox. Am I going to notice a difference in power as I do these?
