PCM/47re issues
2001 cummins automatic 47re, high miles well maintained (287,000)
Few weeks ago i threw a tranny light code an the tranny was kicking me out of OD, which at the time i was thinking it was slipping, parked the truck for a few weeks an went out started it an there was no code so i drove the truck an there was no issues. I put a scan tool an checked the codes, it was TPS getting to many volts, an PCM (powertrain control module). The truck has been driving/shifting fine for 2 weeks, until this afternoon the code came back on, trans was doing the same thing kicking me out of OD, this time it was also feeling as if it was slipping, jumping roughly 150 to 250rpm at steady throttle. I had my code reader in live data mode an i was watching my throttle position % an it would jump to 100% every 5-10 seconds. Not sure if its the PCM, TPS, Tranny? The PCM light had came on an shut off 2 times, so im not sure. Im new to the cummins world, so i would like some input! thanks Tyler

I would start by checking your APPS. Here's a good write up on how to do so: https://www.dieselbombers.com/98-5-0...ting-apps.html. After that if possibly look into a "dirty" ground issue. Clean ground terminals and there is also a ground wire beside your alternator that is known to back-feed and will interfere with convertor lockup.
