ok i installed a used edge cs today on my 01 cummins exactly how instructions said everything went good until i turned my lights on for a test drive and noticed i had no cluster lights,park lights,and brake lights truck started fine and ran perfectly fine so i checked engine bay fuse and park lamp fuse was blown so i replaced it and it blew as soon as i turned my lights on went through 5 or 6 15 amp fuses before they quit blowing but still no lights so i run diagnostics on the edge and the p1687 and i think a p1693 i erased the codes and cant remember for sure. any ideas whats going on no issues whatsoever before install and so far this is the only issue. i know p1687 is cluster but not sure what p1693 is or where to go from here

correction fuse still blows i had it in the wrong spot blows as soon as i turn my lights on. tested with a multimeter gettin 14v when truck is running. gauges all seem to work just no lights

anybody? ok got some new info turn signals work hazards work but left rear wasnt working took it out fiddled around with it and it started working put a fuse in park light spot and everything worked again then noticed my reverse lights where staying on so start fiddling around again with the passenger rear taillight and fuse blows now back to square 1 fuse blows right away frustrated.

 

figured it out corroded wire goin to the tail lights everythings good
