Default Transmission Throttle Valve Cable

If anyone out there is experiencing weird or eratic shifts from there 47re first thing to check is your Transmission Throttle Valve Cable. If this cable is not adjusted correctly not only will you have bad shifts but you can also burn up your clutches. Ive been adjusting mine to get my shifts just right for the past few days. One thing ive noticed is that just a little adjustment makes a big difference. To much adjustement and your trans will not shift at WOT. No enough and your trans will shift bad and or get stacked shifts. Right now mine is not moving the lever enough therefore im loosing alot of Line Pressure and im getting a 1st-2nd Stacked shift. As soon as this stupid rain leaves I will do more adjusting.

Not sure if this is what Luke is referring to but I used this adjustment and it worked great for me http://www.bionicdodge.com/Download/...Adjustment.pdf
By using this adjustment they are 1/8 inch increments I moved mine out one little notch the first time and then test drove it. I ended up going one more and it shifts great now all the way through. Mine was shifting odd between 1st and 2nd under heavy acceleration.

Thanks Jazz...... most people say to adjust the cable where when you have wide open throttle that the leaver on the transmission should only be able to be pushed back with you hand around 1/16". For every 1/16" movement in the leaver your valve body produces 5psi of line pressure. So you can see why just a little adjustment could make a big difference. As an example if you could still move the leaver another full inch then you would be loose out on 75psi of line pressure.
