Lift pumps
It all depends on what you have right now and if you plan on upgrading power in the future or not. I have a FASS 95gph filterless pump on my 99 and it works jsut fine but I am thinking of upgrading to a 150 with filters. They are relatively easy to install its just more time consuming than anything. Took me about 2 1/2 hours to do mine.
a 95 gph is perfect for stock to mildly modified and are easier to install .if you go with a 150 or bigger most kits run 1/2 lines with draw straws . I just recently installed an air dog 150 on my 01 Cummins and it took about6 hours due to having to drop the tank.
Yes, it will do just fine with the stock turbo and injectors. I run an edge comp box with mine. At wot the pressure drops down to 12 psi. You should get you a fuel pressure gauge if you don't have it yet.
It looks like fass 95 is the way to go but if I decide to do injectors later will it still work fine? I'm new to the board and this is the first I've heard of lift pumps. I want to do mild modifications to give my truck a little more ***, but that's about it for now.
drops to 12psi?
sounds like you don't have the pressure set very high...
I have my lift pump set to 20psi idle and it drops to 16psi under 100% fueling @ WOT
that's with a 150GPH pump and 1/2" line 1/2" draw straw.
