Water plug on block to burp my system
Without the engine running, slowly turn it out. It has an o-ring seal, so it doesn't have to come all the way out. The last thread and a half will allow air and coolant to escape, but not gush out. Top up as necessary.
Well mr.raw it seems to be working.i had to steadily pore antifreeze in as it was exaping .how will I know air is gone will it stay at top in the radiator or how do I know.
If there are no bubbles from the sensor, the air should be gone.
Once the engine is to operating temperature, and the thermostat opens, any air left should make its way to the top of the radiator. As the coolant expands when it warms, it will push the air out the rad cap to your overflow bottle. When the coolant cools down, coolant will be sucked from the bottle into the radiator. Make sure the hose between the radiator and overflow bottle is in good shape, and the hose clamps are tight.
