Water plug on block to burp my system
Wich one do i use to get rid of air pocket.anyone

I loosen off the water temp sensor by the thermostat housing. The engines sit nose up in these trucks, so the air should be at the front.

Ok thanks my friend.so I let engine run and loosing it up should I hear air

Without the engine running, slowly turn it out. It has an o-ring seal, so it doesn't have to come all the way out. The last thread and a half will allow air and coolant to escape, but not gush out. Top up as necessary.

Good to know, my truck is having this issue as well.

If there are no bubbles from the sensor, the air should be gone.
Once the engine is to operating temperature, and the thermostat opens, any air left should make its way to the top of the radiator. As the coolant expands when it warms, it will push the air out the rad cap to your overflow bottle. When the coolant cools down, coolant will be sucked from the bottle into the radiator. Make sure the hose between the radiator and overflow bottle is in good shape, and the hose clamps are tight. |
