that explains low egt readings.
the manifolds are divided. front 3 and rear 3 don't mix exhaust until they hit the turbine wheel in the turbo. they stay divided even inside the turbo housing at first.
as for the high idle. that is an ECM feature that can be enabled by either a dealer flash, or by having a smarty programmer on the truck at some point in its life.
edge has nothing to do with it.
