Trouble shooting

So I was driving the highway and my truck started sputtering than shut off on me is this a fuel pump issue and how do i troubleshoot to find what the problem is

Check for codes.

If you have a stock LP you can almost bet it is toast and possibly took the IP with it.

She was air locked got her running again just had to prime it all up would that have been a lifter pump or something cause i had to fill the tank up before it would start again

Sounds like you ran out of fuel. You still need to get a good aftermarket LP and a FP gauge.

I had a half tank still i had just driven 650km when she shut down on me so all i did was fill the tank and primed the pump and she fired up

again, get a fuel pressure gauge...you would be surprised at how early that gauge can warn you when there is a fuel problem...

starving the injection pump for fuel will cost you a good $1000 + labor if you kill it...
