I had the same problem I put a steering stabilizer shock on it and wah lah no more worries bout bridges or pot holes

 

Ok. I recently started to rebuild the front end of my truck. First the steering box went out and the short end of the center/drag link was damaged during removal so that was replaced as well. (This was around August). In November I replaced the long end of the center/drag link(can't remember the brand), track bar(Moog), steering stabilizer shock(Monroe). Truck incurred a slight death wobble after completion when trying to stop. Took the truck in for alignment and was informed that the Rancho stabilizer shock I originally installed wasn't a wise choice. The wobble got worse after alignment, so I switched the shock to the Monroe. All seemed well afterwards, but the truck gradually developed the wobble again and its gotten progressively worse. It only occurs when I am trying to stop the truck and I have temporarily parked the truck because it is that bad.

I am writing a list now and am curious if you guys have any recommendations. So far I have tie-rods, front shocks, stabilizer bar links, and stabilizer bar bushings. Front brakes are new and the bearings are good. Keep in mind that I am keeping close watch on my budget.

Also, had a guy get underneath and he noticed a very slight bind in the track bar at the frame. I took the old one to the auto parts and verified that everything matched up. The bolt can't be tightened anymore either. Would this have anything to do with the wobble?

Huh... everything about how mine rode and handled improved with the Rancho stabilizer. Interesting.

Anyway: steering box stabilizer.

 

also check your control arm bolts. they can also cause trouble for you. they are probably already tight but tighten them up the best you can anyhow.

 

I'd like to say thanks for all the info everyone has givin me that's been useful. Hopin to get a chance take a look at it this weekend if weather cooperates.
As for nadirpoint I was lookin for helpful information as of to whether or not someone could me give me a for sure answer as of to what the problem is if possible cuz I ain't got money flyin out my *** for a whole new front end rebuild, wasn't lookin for some ******** smart remark

 

Don't worry about getting any more suggestions from me then! At least I'm not stupid enough to think somebody can diagnose my death wobble and give me an easy, cheap fix over the Internet.

And I've experienced the death wobble so yea I'm goin to seekin some straight forward diagnosis

 

Is that why you kept cryin' about throwing money at it taking chances on replacing a part without proper diagnosis?
