Hey guys im new to diesels i just picked up a 2002 cummins last saturday and i was looking at a programmer for my 2004 pontiac GTO and found that that diablosport trinity can be used on multiple vehicals and was thinking about picking it up so i can use it on the truck too but unfortunetly it wont work on a 2002 only on 2003+.
does anyone know why i wouldnt be able to use this on the 2002? mine was built in latter 2002 so i was thinking just to check to see if i could use it. is it because it might not have a common fuel rail?
also does anyone use one of these?? and how good are they?

 

2003 up sitched to common rail and cp3 injection pump. Also the injectors are electric and controlled by the ecm where ours are not.

If your lift pump has not been replaced with a good aftermarket one that should be done first even if you're not going to put a chip on the truck.
