Hey guys,

So coming back from school today, after about 40 miles my truck started losing power, almost as if the OD was locking up (no od, it's a 5-speed). It would kick in and out, but got to the point where I'd go down to 40mph and have to restart the engine just to get about 10 seconds of full power back.

I put an Airtex lift pump in a while back just to keep pressure up until I can afford an Airdog.

Now, I can't even go down the street with any power, it just revs up to about 2k and blows alot of white (diesel smelling) smoke.

Codes are: P1693, P0216, P0500 (from wheel spin i think - we had Ice here)

So far I've:

Reset APPS Correctly
Cleared Codes via scanner

I'm going to hookup a pressure gauge tomorrow to make sure the airtex unit is still working correctly, it's only about a month and a half old.

216 def is an issue but yes check the supply pressure first since that what controls the timing piston for the pump and pray to god its low but the test must be done under load.
