So lately my trucks been giving me issues with either the VP44 or the apps. My check engine lights on and when I scan the code it throws the code for the apps saying it has low voltage but when reset it nothing happens. It always drove a little funny mostly when taking off, it seemed like when you barely touched the throttle it would go to like half throttle right away. Then friday night it really started acting funny when i'd be trying to accelerate it would cut out on me and like drop power and slowly drop rpms and yesterday i took it for a ride and I couldn't even get up to speed because there was no power but it would still rev to 2200 rpms. But then other times on the trip it would be fine with full power acting like nothings wrong then just drop power suddenly. Anyone got any ideas what it might be? I really don't want to start throwing money at it trying to fix it until i get a better idea what the problem would be. Thanks guys!

 

I would take what the truck is telling you seriously. If the code says apps low voltage, then that is probably what it is. Mine went out not too long ago, just driving down the street, went to accelerate, and she went to an idle. Luckily I was only about a mile or so from home, late at night, no traffic, 2 turns...etc.

 

So you have done the APPS reset on it?
