well i got the head off looks like new !!!, 3 pistons are cracked and all the others are all banged up !! cylender walls are done ,

now what look for another 24v or 12 v swap help !! i found out the truck is a 98.5

 

That really SUCKS!!!! what caused it to do that much damage do you know? but I would stick with the 24 Valve to save you a hassle of converting..

i hate to hear that.. did you call the people you bought it off of? give them an earful.. i doubt it just magically happened this way. this truck wasnt maintained properly, or it was abused. or it was a case of EXTREMELY bad luck

thats why they traded it to you for a gasser!!!!!! i have only traded my 97 stroker which was nice for a gasser cuz it was an 04 straight trade and i get it home 100 mile trip all good change oil to days later it has a lift tick once and awhile wasnt taken care of. man id be pissed and call them and say wtf it didnt happoen over night but im thinking youd know the 1st time u drove it unless it had no oil or something??? id keep the 24v i love em
