Default Question about programmers!

I am in the market for a programmer.

First off, i have a 2001 5.9, 6 speed with a few mods:
BHAF
Fuel Pressure gauge, EGT gauge, and Boost gauge

ive heard good things about the Edge EZ comp box, and also heard good things about the smarty

im wanting to have a good towing tune, a good performance tune, and a good fuel mileage tune, AND i dont want to hurt anything or have a chance to hurt anything AT ALL

with the gauges would i notice before something could possibly tear up?

and with a performance tune like under 100HP, would it have any negative impact on the tranny at all?

thank you!

which one should i go with?

Both the smarty n edge will be hard on ur stock clutch. But other than that u wont hurt much else. I run both the smarty n edge comp with hot unlock.

i like the quadzilla adrenaline, has fuel mileage mode, i have hit 19 mpg around town and i have 4.10 gears, and it performs very well, just dont romp on it on level 10. i leave it in one most of the time unless i want a smoke show. and i would def. recommend getting an after market lift pump like fass or airdog 100 or 150 gph at least to protect your injection pump before you buy a programmer.

yeah i would get a quad adrenaline also. it has lots of power and gives you good MPG. its got a guardian de fueling system on it to protect your injection pump. also defuels when your egts get to high and has a turbo guard on it which lets your truck run a minute or two after you take the key out. also has a monitor with guages on it. only $600 definatly worth it!!!

I forgot to say i have an airdog 150 fuel system also. If it is going to possibly hurt my clutch i dont want to get one. And i also have 3.55 gearing if that matters. I get 17.7 around town stock.

Id like to have a little smoke, but not overboard. Just enough to **** off tailgaters
