Default Steering drift to right

Ive got a drift to right. Went in for an alignment. He told me that all these trucks do that and short of "offset ball joints" there is nothing he can do. $900 to fix.

Comments?

Sounds like a money grab to me. I had a truck with a bent frame, and they were able to align it with no new parts.

Brand new BFG'S. Did it before with old tires too. Have a recommendation for another frame/alignment guy. Will call today and report on what he says.

Whenever we do a levelling kit we just tell customers it may pull to the right and we haven't found a fix for it. Seems like it was a common enough problem that dodge used wheel spacers on one side to correct it. Mine does it and I have aligned it myself three times in two months. Even played with the caster just won't go away. Kind of a weird deal.

Called a reputable and referred alignment shop. There are offset ball joints. They are simply a ball joint that are intentionally made with a 2 degree off center. Depending on how you rotate it and tighten it, you can adjust both caster and canter. They make a little card to set on the unit that shows how much you're adjustment is based on its rotation. $500 for parts and labor to do both sides. Here is the instructions on installation.

Even if you did need adjustable ball joints it won't cost $900
