Default Worn cam lobe?

I had an injector problem and the guy that worked on it didnt hook up one of the pushrods. The engine started rattling so I took it to another shop and this guy straightened the pushrod and hooked it up right. Well it bent again so I bought a new pushrod and the guy put it in and said that the exhaust side pushrod wasn't hooked up either. He hooked it up and adjusted it and said that the lifter may be wearing the cam lobe down. I was just wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen or if anyone else thinks the cam lobe may be wearing down.

maybe, but when you mess with pushrods you need to readjust the valves because it there to tight it can bend or break the rods, this happend to a couple of guys in our diesel school, where they didnt lossen the rocker arms and turned the engine a broke a couple..
