No you dont really need to remove the valve cover to look at the cross over tube just climb up in there with a light and look for a puddle underneath the fuel line where it meets the head if its leaking you should see it, but if its leaking from those injection lines it would be every where, also do you goain or loose oil? maybe a leak from the lift pump underneath the fuel filter housing.
