I replaced all my AC stuff today (junkyard parts) compressor lines condenser... went to charge the system found a problem with the clutch. It wont engage. My question is what should I check fuse under the Hood is good but I don't have the diagram of the one on the interior any help here. What else to check.
pinout for the 2 wires on the compressor
fuses
Any systems that work in conjunction
ect
also where I can get a replacement connector for the AC, where the trucks harness attaches to the compressor.
Interior air wise it blows hot but not cold.
Can I send 12v to the compressor to check the clutch? I assume green/black wire is grnd and .black yellow stripe is hot.

I swear I will run a switch to it and run it like that its forkin hot 105+

Thanks in advance.

If your refrigerant all leaked out you might need to add oil to the compressor. It won't run if it's dry

I put oil and 134 in it. I can get good pressure on the low side but not to the high side. I can't get pressure to the high without overdoing it on the low. Everything seems OK the clutch just wont engage. The darn wire leading the conecctor to the compressor was jacked up so I stripped both ends and threw a jumper of sorts in there. I don't have a voltmeter or I would go pokin around.

To determine a faulty low pressure switch which could cause this you take the connector off and put a paper clip to bridge the terminals on the trucks harness. If you have no power to the sensor then this won't work. More than likely without power to the low pressure switch you have an electrical problem. You can force the compressor to run to test if the clutch is good by running a jumper to the hot wire on the harness to the compressor. If the clutch wont kick with power running to it then bad compressor. Best thing to do imo is to verify power to the compressor, with no power to it then you can try the lps trick. With power to it verify the ground is workinv correctly. You might have a simple issue or be looking from dash through everything to the compressor.

What is the low pressure switch? Can you do me a fav and post a pic of the diagram on the interior fuse panel? Ya I think in the morning when I get up ill wire it to the battery just to check the clutch out. Will or would there be any harm running it temporary off a switch if the clutch turns out good?
