Default Keep the 24v, or get the 12v?

Alright guys, I've been thinking about trading my 24v on a 12v. And a friend of mine is currently rebuilding a 92 ext cab W250. my question is would it have the power and the "get up" of my 24v without putting more than a couple hundred dollars in it? I know it wouldnt be lacking, but I dont feel like it will have the *** to it that my current truck does. any input would be well appreciated.

In short NO.

You 24v will smash a VE powered truck unless heavy modding has been done. I would recommend you stay with the 24v if you want the power you have now.

I own a 2000 Dodge 4X4 with the 24V, and 2 (a 92 and a 93) 12V's. There is no comparison to the power of the 12V's to the 24V. I could probably hook 10,000 lbs to the back of the 2000 and it would still out perform the 12V's. Any heavy hauling or towing I need to do is always done with the 2000 Dodge. It's just easier.
