hey everyone, i bought my truck about a year ago and the reverse lights have never worked and i just figured i might as well fix them, i looked at the lights well the bulbs are good but they dont work when i put it in reverse? do you guys know why this could be???

 

3 wire switch on the side of the transmission, the plug could be loose, switch could be faulty, wire could be damaged. Number of things could be wrong, unfortunately there is no "do this to fix it" answer.

The short pig-tails coming off the bulb housings are prone to failure at the harness connectors. Check there for corroded/broken wires & 12vdc power when in reverse.
