need help building a air intake

Default need help building a air intake

i got in mind what i wanna do i have seen some pics on here from some that guys have made and they look sweet. no i wanna build my own but i aint sure what i need. could some one help me out thanks.

3" exhaust pipe works quite well. I bought a mandrel bent 90 from summit racing and used some 3/8 plate steel for the flange.

Here's my set up
. Its an intercooled but I think you may be able to do the same setup. I also have some 3" holes drilled underneath it for more airflow. Works good, lowered my egt's about 100f

Should be able to pick up a 45 with silicone boot and 1-2' pipe from a local parts store for around 30 bucks.

for the pipe i used a piece of aluminized exaust and polished it, here is where to get the boots.

whats the diameter and the length of that pipe and what did you use for your air filter to stay sturdy i spent like 80 bucks ona KNN filter and dont wanna try and buy any other to make it work

You can use a piece of flat stock and bend a 90 on each end, with a hole drilled in one of the ends. Then stick one end under the band clamp on the filter and bolt the other side to your inner fender or wheel well.

I built the BHAF plate. Then cut my stock tube down and installed a piece of 5" aluminum irrigation pipe on it. sort like 1stgenfarmboys only cheaper.

2 4" 45 degree elbows welded together and a straight 4" coupler plus a sheet of aluminum







The best part is it gives a nice flat place to stick tools and such
