Injection pump recalls??
I was goofing around on YouTube and came across this.
It says that there are recalls on our ve pumps date codes 163 to 169 with out an infinity symbol. I just checked mine and it says 169 and has no symbol. Do you think dodge would still recall the pump after 20 years? Also should I even worry about it if it's lasted this long? Because I don't know if on a new injection pump it would come with warranty or not if it does you wouldn't be able to turn that bitch up untill the warrenty is up. What do you guys think?

It is a Safety Recall. It doesn't matter how old the truck is. If your truck has that pump, it is still eligible for a replacement IP.
The recall was brought about due to a part in the pump failing and potentially allowing the pump to go full throttle with no control. A definite safety issue. If your IP is in fact of the manufacture they specify, you've perhaps just been lucky. If you actually watch and pay attention to the video, it's very clear.
You should worry about it.
You, the owner of the truck have the perrogative to turn it up should you desire. Assuming the new pump is installed correctly by the dealer, I wouldn't be too concerned about it having a warranty issue considering the 1st gens all run the same IP and have done so for 20 years (+/-). Too be sure by this time, any design issues would have made themselves apparent.
