Nope, nothing at all. Only if it is completely stopped.

I'd double check that my hubs were locked and that both were fully engaged. have someone walk along side your truck see if everything is spinning. When you do pull it into 4 can you power brake it and break the rear end loose?

Ill throw her up in the air and check them by hand. So if i understand correctly, It will only allow me to engage while driving if both hubs are locked? Maybe I just never noticed it?

Yes, If both hubs are for sure locked in then you should be able to shift between 2hi and 4hi at any time. Do your front tires have a noticably more tread than rear or visaversa? I have never heard of this causing problems but would make sense why you cant get into 4hi on the fly.

Yeah, I figured it out. I guess I had never tried putting it in 4 with out the hubs locked. With them locked it works fine. Its one of those things where in the winter, I leave them locked most of the time. Thanks Guys!

Yes, you'd have the same problem, one axleshaft spinning would only spin the spiders in the differential. Not the whole differential, meaning drive shaft is still sitting still and the gears won't mesh.

Hubs engaged......it will shift from 2H-4H or 4H-2H on the fly.
From 2H to 4L......it's easier to shut your truck off, shift, re-start your truck.
Have had a few NP205's.....they were all like this....
