None I/C head
So the head on my 89 broke yesterday
and i found one for $500 in good condition. how hard is it to install? And is there anything else i should do at the same time (Rings or selves)? Tips and pointers are always help full

engines bud... they're engines. only thing ive heard "break" randomly is the so called ears that the exhaust manifolds mount to. 500 for a used head is kind of high isnt it? you could get a reman head for that price and just use your old valves/springs. just get your valves dressed up and it'll be just like a new head

I run 97 heads then have the top of the valve guides machined out to accept the tophat valve stem seals and pair those with a set of 60lb springs with a light P&P then get machined/updated injectors to match the angle with a .20 head gasket and you will be in business
