Never had one come loose or leak on me n thy always come off easy for me when you oil the seal.

If it works for you all the better bud, I rarely use a filter wrench putting them on; always need one taking it off. Seen entirely too many filters loosen up from vibrations to leave them loose enough to remove by hand again. Just my personal preference
