Hey guys..
Well i was driving the truck tonight up to town (about 19 miles away) and when i was at a light, in town, the oil pressure gauge suddenly dropped to 0 and the oil pressure light came on.. So i pulled into the nearest parking lot and shut it off...
It is really weird because the truck seemed to be running fine? I had it towed home and have not tried to start it because i did not want to mess anything up...
It is dark out and the truck is down at the barn so i have not been able to check the oil or anything else in it, but i checked the oil yesterday morning and it seemed fine...


What could have caused this?

The oil pressure sender is bad. Its a common problem on these trucks because of vibrations.

 

Know where i can find one? Thanks for the help

 

napa it just screws into the driver side of the engine block if its like my 01.
