ANY timing advance is going to wear things out faster. As for how much... I think that depends on how you drive. I'm not sure there's a qauntifiable answer to that. Now, is it going to kill you engine in the next 20,000 miles? Probably not. 50k? Probably not. Remember, these engines are capable of a LOOOOONNGG service life, so not thrashing the crap out of them is going to help achieve that. Advancing the timing isn't helping with longevity, but starting it cold, flooring it and running 40 psi is doing way worse.
