rear brakes..

Default rear brakes..

i want to get rear brakes for my 93 w250 cummins. but im finding out there are a bunch of different kinds. i know i have the d70 rear but theres a couple different sizes of shoes and drums... how am i supposed to figure out what size i have with out taking it all apart?
does anybody know?

im thinking i have 12"x3" but not sure.

Get the vin and call the dealer and have the parts guy run it and he'll tell you exactly what you have

Went thru the same thing... The 12x3" is the D70-HD brakes. Funny thing is; the drum will accept both 21/2 and 3" shoes. Run the wider shoe and get 1 ton wheel cylinders. The truck will brake much better. Watch it in turns on wet roads tho...
