Alternator Guage?
If it was bad then it wouldn't charge at all would it and my a/c wouldn't work either right?I unhooked it and it doesn't charge then when I plug it back in it will go back to doing the same thing as before.
Have the Alternator tested. They put out Alternating Current(hence the name), the rectifier bridge(or diode trio) inside it converts it to DC. If one of the diodes goes bad, it will still charge, but give you a flicker.
the only thing i can think of is your having a alternate current instead of a direct current a loose ground wire put all new wires in and see if it changes then if not i would just put a new alternator in and see if that makes a change
