IIRC, a head gasket should be good for around 35psi sustained. If you've got access to a torque wrench, you might want to check your head bolts first though. In saying that, there's a lot of guys out there who've never touched them, and never had a problem either. We all should probably be checking them once a year or so anyway, regardless of how much boost we're running, although no one ever does.
If you leave your IP where it is, or up your fuel just a snibby or two, you should be fine. Are gauges a good idea? Of course. Is being sensible and not just going straight to maximum a better idea? Yup.

My 60mm upgrade has been shipped, so now I sit and wait
Gauges are the next thing on my list, and then I really get to have fun and make power and smoke
