chevy nv4500 to 1991 cummins

Default chevy nv4500 to 1991 cummins

does anyone know what all has to be done to put a chevy nv4500 to a 91 cummins. i know the input shafts are different and will interchange but what else. special bellhousing?if you have any info let me know

Do a search on here and I'm sure you'll come up with something. You might also want to cruise the other forums out in the ether. Dieseltruckresource is particularly abundant with good info, although they're by no means the only one.

try nv4500.com they have all the info you need about the nv I don't think you can use the chevy trans but check the site to be sure.

95 and earlier chevy stuff is not compatible. Bolt pattern is different on the front of the case. First gear is different. Shifter is different. 96 and later can be converted, but by the time you purchase the conversion parts you may as well find what you really need.
