HX35 help
Myself and many other have done it. I ran a HY35 for a year plugged, and it is still running fine on a buddys truck. Granted that truck is bone stock, but it is still working 100%. I also ran my HX35 plugged until I compounded my turbos, and even then it was still plugged. The only reason I unplugged it was I am making too much boost for my stock head bolts.
okay well i dont want it to make dangerous amounts of boost but will it as a single turbo? all i have done is some pump adjustments and a fuel pin and cut some hole sin my intake box.
Do you have a boost gauge? That's obviously the best way to know where your boost is at. They reckon 35psi is the maximum boost to run continuously on stock head bolts, IIRC. But if you've got no gauge, you're kinda guessing. So, if you're guessing, so am I! I'd say you should be fine running it blocked off, but you may want to keep your WOT runs to a quarter mile distance. For daily driving/a little hotdogging around the traps, you should have no worries.
why take out this screw?

I'm putting an HY35 on my first gen also but having a heck of a time getting the oil pressure line converted. the hy is a different size thread. And I'm having a hard time finding a fitting that will thread into the turbo. I think its 12mm. Is that right? Not totally sure. thanks
