I just bought my 1st it's a 92 2wd auto and the brake pedal is hard to push brakes seem to work ok but the pedal is real hard. the people i bought it from had the brakes done and the booster replaced. I talked to the owner brother and he said it has always been that??? But it dont seem right to me.


Any input on this?

check the power brake booster. just because they replaced it doesnt mean they did it right. could be a vacuum pump as well.

 

ditto...id start with checkin vacuum if it has new parts. might just be a leaky gromet at the booster or weak pump.

 

check out all of the hoses too(that one that runs over to the fender from the brake booster[grid heater override of somesort by the look of it?] likes to rub through against the booster, all of the HVAC controls are vacuum operated, those little plastic lines and rubber boots are getting close to 20 years old now right)
