Default Power Steering issue

My power steering fluid is foamy and pushes up from the under the cap and overflows out of the pump i dont know wether my box is bad or waht but i just changed the pump and the power steering hoses im assuming theres a problem with the power steering box or maybe a vacume problem. Any suggestions

Sounds like you are getting air sucked in somewhere. Had the same kinda problem on a JD 400D cooling system, it was the hoses were loose and sucking air causing the fluid to foam up.

My 93 did the same thing and I had to put a new steering box on to fix it. First I got one off ebay and got screwed then went down to kragen and they had it in stock.

How long have you been driving it or is this just after you changed it? If its overfull it will push out if there's air in the system it will foam and can push.out

Usually if there is air in the system after doing a repair, I bleed the air out by turning it lock to lock a few times, shut it down for a bit, then repeat the procedure.
It's normally not a recurring problem unless the system is drawing air.

quick search will find its a common problem. bad p/s pump can cause it, air in the system, clogged lines, or a bad box. they will all have that same symptom. mine did it too was a pain to fix. ended up being the p/s pump

my is doing the same thing, my has zero power stearing when I start it up then as I drive it comes in. only started recently when temp started to drop.

Definitely a leak somewhere. on the back of the P/S pump a line loosened up over time on mine. just a quick turn of the wrench to fix it.
