Default Extended linkage travel question?

Ok..so i did the procedure that RSWORDS wrote up on removing the throttle stop and grinding to get more travel out of the pump a while back..AND..it made a huge difference and it felt like the truck reved higher but my question is whats the main difference between doin what i did and putting in 3200 rpm spring.
If im thinkin right doesnt removing the throttle stop allow it to rev higher but its goin to defuel at the same rpm it always did and main purpose of 3200 is letting it fuel to a higher rpm right?? i havent done a 3200 spring yet but how will truck act with the linkage mod i've done and puttin in the 3200 spring??

It should be fine, just about everybody is running the 3200 spring. You will notice a big difference

I will do the 3200 spring soon, but im still confused on how it revs up higher with linkage mod ive done vs a 3200 gov spring that "ALSO" suppose to let the engine rev higher.. whats the difference between the two? Anybody have a technical explanation?..thanks

the spring puts tension on the governor wights making them flow fuel until 3200 RPM the motor it self will rev to X RPM but will only fuel until 26-2800 RPM (stock)

The throttle linkage is just that. It lets more fuel in and it lets the RPM increase.

The springs tension limits when the pump can fully fuel. At 3200 its supposed to start cutting restricting fuel. Thats fine though because the VE pump makes peak power below 3200 rpm anyway.

My truck will rev way (way) past 3200 rpm.

Ok that gives it some clarity...i just got confused a little on how the engine revs up with the linkage mods when the gov spring is what i understood to be in charge/control of the fuel delivery, rpm etc...since fuel is what makes the engine accelerate/rev up..and bein its stock spring in my truck still, i was surprised to see it rev way beyond what the stock spring will fuel to.
