Will this turbo fit?

Will this turbo fit?
Ok, so this turbo has been sitting in a box at work for over 3 months. Nobody knows where it came from, and nobody wanted to claim it(we don't even work on vehicles at my job). So the bossman, after much pestering of course, let me take it home today. I think it's a little too big for my truck(see stock turbo at left in picture), but hey, how often can you get a free turbo right? It's a HE561Ve, which I think means variable vane or something like that. Can you even run one of these things on a first gen?

If that is the variable version of the he500, its good for 295-650 hp for engines up to 16 litres. The exhaust side will adjust from something like 9 cm to 25ish cm. I'm guessin it'd be kinda slow to spool even if you did get the vgt working, but as a low pressure turbo in a set of twins, it might just be awesome. Especially if you had a vgt as a high pressure turbo, and had the vgt working on both. JMO...I'm quite jealous..
