Default Rewiring Cruise control

Is it possible to rewire the cruise control, to move it to the dashboard or another panel? Mine cuts on and off while driving.

I've worked on larger trucks (85 Peterbilt) that has it that way. I have wiring problems in my column of my '84 Fummins, and plan on using the switches from a Pete to try to make it work. If it works off switches in the column,, it will work off switches in the dash. I just need to find a wiring schematic.

Default TSB

theres a TSB for your problem. Depending on the part number on the servo, you need a new servo, and/or/not a SBEC. I could send you the TSB when i get on a computer i can access Chryslers website.

i had the same problem and just had fits getting it working again , first the clock spring was 150.00 and was completely trashed so i took out the whole clock spring and traced out how it went together , it boils down to 4 wires the blue one is power the other 3 are power into the servo i have 1 toggle switch to turn on the unit and 2 momentary switches one is normal push button on the other has to be a normally closed switch that turns on the decel the regular push button will accel and resume . i didnt have a normally closed switch from radio shack so i wired in a 5 wire relay with 2 terminals normally closed .

the second problem i had was the servo but i wanted to try to fix , theres three solenoids take cover off rear of servo and 3 vacuum solenoids are there , unplug all the wiring but wright it down first then take 12volt supply and see if each solenoid will click if not a dab of hot solder on the coils may fix them ,,, you will have to disassemble the solenoids by bending the outer shell straight .then the last test was checking the diode in the line between the right hand sol wiring and mine was shorted . once 3 sold,s are out plug all 3 holes and push diaphram in and see if it holds.
