It's not REALLY a first-gen Cummins... it's a W150, but I'll be doing a diesel swap into it eventually. What do ya'll think?

Definately a 6. I'm not sure though... I know the 4BT's can make good power too...

I'm only looking for around 450-500 quick-spooling hp with it. I'm thinking I'll go with either a VE or P-pumped 6 and a smallish set of compounds. I'm going to try to find a P-pumped of course, but if I can't, then I'll use the VE. I know where a full CR motor is, but I think it needs a rebuild...

Your probably gonna have to beef up the front suspension with the 6. Its a heavy beast

Anyone know the weight on it? I would most likely swap over to SuperDuty axles.

OK... So about 600 more than the current motor... Hmm... I think the springs will be OK... But the D44 may not be....
