what would be a good torque converter to get ?

I run a Goerend in mine and love it. If your only looking for 300-350 HP hughes makes a cheaper one.

Then why are some of the fastest diesel truck running dodge trannys?

well if your in it for sound i guess thats a good idea!!!
i perfer to blow the doors off standard trucks!!

Bobby, I ran the quarter in 12.87 Friday the 27th down at Coastal Plains (fuel only with the original 12mm VE). 60' of 1.7 (@ 6400lbs).

@ 1993firstgennewbie: That's with the original non lock-up A518 with a few internal mods and a Suncoast converter.
