Default My 1st mod

Today I got all the throttle out of my ve pump. Well all I could get easily. I backed the high idle screw out 8 turns witch put the linkage almost touching the fuel line. And I moved the throttle linkage to the inner hole. And I used a nut for a spacer to take up the slack in the cable. Got the idea from RSWORDS. Thanks man. I'm impressed. I still don't have gauges but didn't think this would hurt. It raised the rpm's quite a bit but not sure how much (no gauges). Does anybody think this will effect egt's? And is it possible to over rev the motor now? Also I was wandering what the differance is between this and the 366spring?

There is a governor spring late regulates the rpm threw the pump via the governor spring. That what the 366 spring is, alows the motor to achieve higher rpm's by changing that spring. Only way the motor will go over that is if a runaway accures.

366 spring and a fuel pin are the best mods to start with and are fairly inexpensive.
About 120for a pin and 20 for a spring.

gauges 1st in my opinion. i deleted afc, ground my fuel pin, star wheel bottomed out, full fuel screw in advanced timing and i bury the needle on my 1500 degree temp gauge with 28 pds of boost all in about 5 to 10 seconds if you dont have gauges you dont know where your at

no, what you have done will have very little effect on your EGT's. You dont need to start worring about them until you start messing with teh full power screw.
