I'm taking it in to the trans shop. If it needs it the rebuild is $1800.

 

any issues with it's performance before now?

 

When the truck was cold it would start driving slow. the engine performace was ok but the trans had no pickup. Once it was warmed up it was alright.

 

My truck should be done today. The guy on the phone said that when they started to put it back together that the transmission governor was bad. I'll find out more when I go to pick it up later today.

 

It took them longer than they thought to take care of the speed governer. One of the bolds on the governor loosened up and came out. When it did it wiped out the parts inside the governor and put a hole in one of the oil tubes. It's nice to have my truck back. Too bad it took almost 2 weeks but they had a hard time finding the right gov.
