Can't remember what thread it was in but one of the guys kept getting just the gasket and it wouldn't go on right without the tool, didn't know about it and went threw several gaskets. So that kit should get ya taken care of.

the tool, is there a special tool to put in the gasket

no there isnt a special tool to do the gasket. he might be implying the crank seal but its a seal not a gasket. and you dont need a special too. i just used a really big socket that fit it nice and lightly tapped it in with a hammer

Sorry, yes I was referring to the seal not gasket. Comes with a sleve in the inside of the seal to slip it onto the shaft and another piece to help you press it into the cover.

Thanks for the correction tltruckparts, I can see how I would make that a little confusing.

so i should get a big socket, if i have one, and press it in that way
