Default block heater

my block heater does not work and i was wondering if you can unplug the coard and switch them or do i have to take the whole element out and drain anti-freeze

you can remove the cord from the element on most and swap them if your just looking to swap cords

well if that is what it is im ganna try it and see i think i can un hook just the wire and plug it in and stick a fluke to it and see what it is reading if it is good i will have to replace the element but i hope just the coard i didnt know if was a seperate coard or all one thing thanks for the help

It just unscrews from the element. I think the stock has a round nut, and the new one I bought had like a 7/8" nut on it.
